An accomplished entrepreneur and investor in Pasadena, California, Takashi Cheng is the founder and chief executive officer of the streaming network GoldenTV, the first streaming platform with a focus on Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) programming. His responsibilities with the network include coordinating fundraising efforts and supporting all marketing and awareness campaigns. He is also involved with the acquisition, development, and delivery of content for the channel. Prior to founding GoldenTV in 2022, Takashi Cheng co-founded Society 1, a private AAPI members’ club in Los Angeles. He continues to develop AAPI messaging at Society 1 as a member of the board.
Mr. Cheng holds a juris doctor from the University of California School of Law, along with a bachelor of arts in psychology from UCLA. He has successfully established a number of businesses including GoldenTV and Society 1 . He is also a board member of various philanthropic organizations and a supporter of groups like the Asian Business Association and Asian Americans Advancing Justice. He spends much of his free time developing and reviewing new content for GoldenTV and supporting various AAPI causes.
